I tried the media button..no workie-got the yellow box, but when I post it, it strips it away—pasted the embed code on HTML and it disappears too

A quick Google search seems to indicate this is a bug with the user permissions. I hope there is a fix that isn’t too terribly involved.
In the meantime, hang tight.
